Shearlock

Our shearlocks are an electro-magnetic Lock that operates by both electro-magnetism and interlocking bolts to give the perfect and highly secure combination of electronic and mechanical locking in one device. These are ideal for narrow aluminium profiles. It consists of the magnet and an armature plate which operates like the receiver for the magnet. The armature plate does not directly pull off the face but the load is instead in 'shear', like a mechanical stop. The shearlock provides 2600lb shear force making it a formidable security device that can be associated with various keypads, switches and access control systems.
